New Fledgling Book List

I’ve added a new book list about the Wars of the Roses. (Sorry it has taken me so long to fix the broken menu link from the homepage.)

The list is still very basic and rough.  I’ve only jotted down a few books that came to mind – some for people who know nothing about the Wars of the Roses and some for buffs.

If you know of any great books on the period, please add them to the comments section. I’m always looking for a great read and it would be fun to see what you like.

You should add in the relevant Allan Sutton Publishong books – a great historical publisher and also theOsprey Publishing Warrior series. I liked very much English Longbowman 1330-1515 (Warrior) Paperback BUT I am sure there are others. There is also the The Medieval Soldier’s World: 15th Century Campaign Life Recreated in Color Photographs Hardcover
by Gary Embleton – another great book I own. Perhaps you metioned it already!

Thanks for this suggestion. I’ll add them to the list. I’d forgotten all about the list, so I should probably update it! :>)

Also, on a personal level thanks. I’m always looking for new books on the late Middle Ages. Tonight I’m reading Michael Hicks’ “Bastard Feudalism” and was recently reading “England in the Later Middle Ages” by MH Keen, which is quite good.

I’m very interested in both of those books and if I can obtain a copy of them cheaply enough or find them at a university library, I will definitely read them.

Again, thanks!! Any other suggestions please let me know or post them here. I’m looking forward to hearing them.
